At the end of World War I, Anna’s fiancé, Frantz, has died in the trenches. As she grieves for her lost love, a mysterious Frenchman named Adrien appears in the town to place flowers on Frantz’s grave. The two bond over their shared connection to Frantz, and through their relationship, Director Franςois Ozon explores the lost generation. Part of the Tournées Film Festival, made possible with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the U.S., the Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image Animée (CNC), the French American Cultural Fund, Florence Gould Foundation and Highbrow Entertainment.
